2026 Rule for inviting teams to the State Competition

The first team place always advances. Then we advance one additional team for every two teams that participate. RANK skips positions after equal rankings.

How this applies to HARO:

  • First and second place receive a team trophy and individual medals

  • Third to sixth place receive individual medals

  • Lower rankings will be recognized at Awards but can still advance

Exception for 2026

  • P3D1 and P5D1 will each be split into Red and Blue venues.

  • The same total number of teams will advance as if they were not split.

  • First and second place in each venue receive a team trophy and individual medals

  • Third place in each venue receives individual medals, irrespective of how the venues are split.

  • Lower rankings will be recognized at Awards but can still advance

Teams get invited to the State competition. However, team participation is contingent on Team Qualifications.
