HARO Competition

The Houston Area Region Odyssey ("HARO") Competition takes place
on Saturday, February 21st, 2026,
at Springwoods Village Middle School, 1120 Crossgate Boulevard, Spring, TX 77373,
and adjoining Nortgate Crossing Elementary.

This is an all-day event, followed by the Awards ceremonies in the Gym.

Competitive Teams will be given two slots on the schedule,
one morning and one afternoon. Half of the teams will do long-term then spontaneous,
the other half will do spontaneous, then long-term.

Documentation for the competition will be updated below from late January. Until then, use the HARO page for ongoing coach and parent information.

01/22/26 Problem 4 teams: these are the procedures for weight testing on competition day and an official document specifying weight/ball sequence.
01/31/26 Problem 4 teams: The team schedule will indicate a specific weigh-in time for teams. One (or more) team member(s) go on or before the specific weigh-in time with their structure(s).
02/03/26 Volunteer registration is now opening in phases.
02/03/26 The draft Primary schedule is now posted. All scheduled are subject to audit and final version will be confirmed around Feb 8th.
02/08/26 The Tentative team schedule is published for your reference. The Final schedule should be out by Feb 12 but we expect very few variations as we finalize our audits.
02/08/26 Competition Site map v2.1 is published.
02/09/26 The TIP v.1 is published for your review. We will go through it at the Coaches Walk-through tonight at 8 pm.
02/09/26 Along with the first team schedule, the count of advancing teams from each TX region has been published on the Scores page.
02/13/26 The final team schedule is published in searchable format as well as tabular format with check-in and props times for each team.
02/14/26 The Family Guide is published. Some sections are still in missing (schedule and maps) but the main general information is there for family planning purposes.
02/15/26 Competition Site Map v.3 with details of entrance, exits, props drop-off, services.
02/15/26 Parking Map v.1. Please SHARE WITH ALL PARENTS.

Tournament Information Packet (“TIP”)

This document contains all the procedural and practical information that the coach and parents need to know about the tournament. Share it with parents and come prepared.

Tournament Visitor Guide

This quick visitor guide can be easily shared with parents or extended family looking for informaiton about what to watch and what to do while at the tournament. The full Tournament Program is posted further below.

Team Schedule

This document contains the schedule of teams performances and spontaneous competition. Teams in problems 3 and 5 will be split in two venues. The printable version will include a venue color to make it easier on the day, as well as individual times for team check-in and props allowed in building. Please make a note of your venue color (i.e. red, or blue).

School Access and Parking

Please ensure that all adults in your team get a copy of this document. It shows access to the school with drop-off options and parking.

School Site map

This document contains the location of each competition venue within the school, as well as services and general information. Each adult in your group should have a copy. Please download close to competition again for the latest version and share with all team parents.

Team Members Certificates (Available in February)

Competitive Teams: Template for Personalized Team Member Certificates are available, by long-term problem. Download them to your computer and then fill the PDF fields with the team member name, coach name and school name. Then Print! You may do so at your convenience before or after the competition.

Primary Teams: Personalized Certificates for Primary teams will be printed and handed out at competition, after each team performance.
